45km Route

The initial 8kms include a smooth climb to reach a dangerous descent of 1km until you reach Arenal River. You must be careful on this road section to avoid injuries or accidents. From km9 to km17 is a climb road segment with several smooth track sections that will take you to the most beautiful part of the race were you can see Arenal Volcano and lake from the mountain.

From km18 to km24 is a descent road section to reach our PC2 located at Linda Vista.

Save energy, km25 can be very demanding, has a rough gradient, added to the acumulated kms and high temperatures.

We recommend that you use our 3 aid stations, give yourself a break and recover from the hard start. As we know, this is not a long distance. It is, however, very demanding, physically and mentally.

On the last kms you will hear your friends shouting for you, which will be a great motivation to accomplish the challenge of passing the finish line!

Rarely are there so many places of interest in a competition or training such as this. Arenal volcano, Arenal lake, Pelado hill, the Tilarán Wind farms, Rincón de la Vieja volcano and the Miravalles volcano can be enjoyed along the route. Also, the Tenorio volcano, Cote lake and the Concepción volcano in the distance on Ometepe Island in Nicaragua can be viewed.

* The route will be marked, with volunteers and traffic support, but remember that at all times you must respect the traffic signs. Please do not invade the left lane and be cautious.
